Feeds, Opera, Settings, Transfer

You can easily transfer all settings from one Opera version to another or from one computer to another by the following.
- Open old Opera, note the path to profile & mail directories from and close Opera.
- Repeat the above for the new Opera.
- Rename/delete new Opera profile & mail directories.
- Copy old Opera profile & mail directories to new Opera profile & mail directories location.
- In new Opera, modify paths in following files.
- (Only for Opera version below 10) profile\opera6.ini (rename/delete is recommended)
- (Only for Opera version below 10) profile\widgets\widgets.dat (if you use widgets)
- mail\accounts.ini (if you use feeds/mail)
- Start new Opera.

You can modify strings in
language file to your need.
Create a copy of language file, english.lng in Opera installation directory and rename it to english-modified.lng. Then
- Modify string -2061349988 to impress your friends with custom message in Opera startup dialog.

to -2061349988="Welcome back, Tamil!"

- Most of us don't use some of the labels. You can modify and use them.

Even if you don't use Opera mail, quick reply box will be shown while reading feed. You can get extra space by disabling quick reply.
