5 years on My Opera

, , , ...

I joined the My Opera community on 2004-09-15 and it was my first online community site :yes:. Over the years, I have learned so much from here about Opera & several other things :headbang:, got a lot of friends of different ages (14-67 years) from all over the world :heart: and won several prizes from Opera Software :cool:.

I was one of the Member Of The Week (MOTW) :happy: and I was banned for a day :jester:.

Thanks to Opera Software and all friends for the kindness and support :hat:.

I've certainly benefitted from your help. There's quite possibly no one on the OC who hasn't benefitted from your help at some time or another ... probably no doubt on numerous occasions. I echo what Henry said. You're a great asset to Opera, the Opera Forums and the Opera Community.

Tamil is the Real Deal! :headbang:

Use user style sheet to modify the look of a website in Opera

, , , ...

A user style sheet is a text file with CSS declarations. It allows you to have control over the look and feel of website. It can be used to hide annoying things like ads, change fonts and colors, etc.

!important declaration should be added to a rule to take precedence over author style sheet.

User style sheets can be applied to all sites Tools > Preferences... > Advanced > Content > Style Options... > My style sheet (restart required to apply style sheet) or per-site basis Right click on a site > Edit Site Preferences... > Display > My style sheet (reload required to apply style sheet).

Example 1: Hide friend request link in My Opera

  1. Create a text file with the following and save preferably inside profile\styles directory with CSS file extension.
    /* Friend request */
    #friendrequest { display: none !important; }
