Great, thanks.
How about including the "Buttons with * will reset your previous selection(s)." legend somewhere on the dialog?
Is there any way to make the "Detailed Options" dropdown action, sticky? i.e so that it always displays all the options, by default?
Anonymous # 3. July 2008, 01:31
Oops, just noticed "Remove Detailed Options button." :-O

hi all,
wonderful dialog...but in O9.51 the "clear typed-in" button does not do anything.
any ideas on what needs to be done to make it work??
(so annoying that whole issue of clearing address entries, history etc.)
thanks,
chrisk

hi tamil,
and thanks for your reply.
yes, obviously i have these entries, and lots of them, which is why i'm trying to figure a way to get rid of them (without losing all of history, nor with fiddling with the adr file etc). your dialog, if i understand right, should allow that...but here it doesn't work.

yes, that button works.
and indeed...my apologies!!!...after reading this
http://my.opera.com/bpm/blog/the-address-field-dropdown-control-panel-we-dont-have?cid=5706179
i realized that the button on your dialog panel _did_ work! as bpm argues in his analysis, the distinctions between what is actually on, or not on, the drop-down in the address bar, are so fuzzy and confusing!
so, altogether:
your dialog is, in the present state of O development, indeed the most useful solution in a situation of unnecessarily frustrating "improvement" of the browser.
thanks,
chrisk

I noticed that with the 9.60 branch it made only four of six synchable objects visible. I posted about it in the beta forums and kslee came up with a solution that fixed the problem: http://my.opera.com/community/forums/findpost.pl?id=2713319 .
May be you can change your file accordingly?

Is there a way to edit/delete specific typed in addresses like you can in the history (Cntrl-Shft-H)?
That would allow you to keep most addresses, but drop private ones.

I have a serious concern about privacy using Opera. The first point is that the cache is not completely emptied: links with sitecheck links remain and tell a lot about the sites you have visited (of course you shouldn't visit those sites !!!)
The second point: when I place the mouse cursor on an input box/field (e.g the search field of Google, and then depress the Down arrow then an input combobox appears which I cannot get rid of. As an example whenever I mistakenly press down arrow in the google input box I get: http://peachyforum.com/forums/t/193242.aspx. I have found no way to get rid of it. Annoying....Any suggestion ? Thanks
