Opera's opera: or about: pages

Opera has some special pages that show various information. The following is the list of the opera: pages available in Opera browser.

Entry Description
opera:about Displays version information, browser identification and paths.
opera:blank Displays blank page.
opera:cache Displays cache content. See Advanced search, thumbnails & sorting in opera:cache.
opera:config Displays preferences editor page allowing access to many configuration options not available through preferences window. See Useful opera:config (Opera Preferences Editor) entries.
opera:debug For remote debugging. See Remote debugging with Opera Dragonfly.
opera:drives* Displays local drives in your system.
  • Browse local drives to view images, html files, text files, etc.
  • Browse to an image directory (or drag & drop an image directory from file manager to Opera) and use mouse gestures, flip forward & flip back to navigate between next & previous images.
opera:help Displays Opera help page.
opera:history Displays browser history page.
opera:historysearch Displays history search page.
opera:plugins Displays list of installed plug-ins.

* = Available only in Windows

Opera will list all except opera:blank, opera:debug, opera:drives & opera:help when you type opera: in address field.

One way I do this is to do ctrl+tab to open a new blank tab, then drag'n drop a folder from desktop into the window. The window will now show the path.

Try typing in the address bar something like:

file://localhost/home/ben/.opera/

This is a linux system, but the starting point for you will be 'file://C:/' I think.

There is history search keyword h in opera. I find it gives radically different results than opera:historysearch. Is it so that opera:historysearch is only for saved pages content? Is there documentation about these searches?
