How to set Opera as default browser?

Tools > Preferences... > Advanced > Programs > [Enable] Check if Opera is default browser on startup > Details... > [Select] File types handled by Opera & Protocols handled by Opera and restart Opera

Opera will ask the following and click Yes.

Opera is not set as default Web browser on your computer. Would you like to use Opera as your default application for viewing Web pages?

If you are not able to set Opera as default browser by the above method try SetBrowser.

If you want to set Opera as default web browser for your user profile in Windows XP, without affecting the other users use DefaultBrowser.

Check if Opera is default browser on startup
Enable "Check if Opera is default browser on startup"

Select file types and protocols handled by Opera

Opera is not set as default Web browser on your computer
Enable Opera as default Web browser

I just enabled mailto but what I am really looking forward to is that Opera checks if it it installed within the Windows SendTo folder or not. After removing Thunderbird from my System because I want to use Operas M2 for my Emails, it does not start up if I choose "Email Recipient" on my Right-Click SendTo Menue. Any Ideas?

@tamil//hi,this past week opera browser has turned alien on me,the page is green,the colour of your comment box,and the text and photos are all over the place,this is the same on other programmes when using opera browser.I have had to change browsers,and all is ok ,but cannot use the opera browser,my system is vista,32 bit,i have uninstalled and re-installed opera ,but to no effect,,any ideas what has happened?thank you.
