deneban writes: Another approach without using UniExtract is to run the Opera installation .exe file you used to install the broken installation. In XP, open and watch the folder C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Temp. Run the installation. Just before you are ready to install, the installer will have already unpacked "opera installer.msi" into a new folder within the "Temp" folder your are watching. Copy that file to the desktop, and abort the installation. Now go to add/remove programs, and remove the unwanted Opera version. When prompted for the "msi" package, just point to the one on the desktop. I have removed an old 10.10 and a 9.64 that way.
