My dentist is one lazy man. i know i am safe coz he's too lazy to open my blog. and anyway, am not going there anymore. he is too lazy to even stand when examining my mouth. i had a bad experience with him last time but that is another story which ends with me shouting at him with a mouth full of blood and cotton wool pieces

MAN OF THE CLOTH

I wish they could see beyond your beady eyes
Wish they could tell, what that look implies
The brethren in the church
You the man in charge
Where there's peace and quiet
Your presence disquiets

Walking down the isle
Leaving behind the pile
Of flowers you defiled

Man of the cloth
Condemned by the cross
Dreaming of souls you broke.

Christening children at the altar
Later, their minds you alter
Flowers strewn all over the gardens
Roses, lillies blooming with burdens

Children you christened at the alter
Sickening nighmares, now the order

FIFTEEN YEARS DOWN THE LINE

You cant see the sun's beam
Coz you live in a dream
Wake up and smell the air
Put a colourful bow in your hair

Today we celebrate you
Tomorrow we curse you
Put on a red dress
Forget yesterday's stress

Fifteen years, down the line
Finally time, to wine and dine
Your baby now grown and fine
His father you're sure, he'll never find

Ran so fast
When he saw the bulge
To your friends at last
You had to divulge

What a whim
What deceit
Abortion to him
A clean slate

The dream now over
Of his coming over
To apologise
For your love's demise

As you stoll in the sun
As you take a perfect picture
Of you and your son
Aim for a bright future

Coz you can't see the sun's beam
If you live in a dream
Fifteen years down the line
Finally time, to wine and dine.

From the high window

We watched from the high window
at the bright street lights below
The laughter behind we chose to ignore
Only our hearts did glow
Our love we promised to grow

My head laid on your chest
As you stood behind me i confessed
I felt lucky and highly blessed
Our hand in a lovely twist
I craned my neck to give you a kiss

For you i'd dare anything
With you we defy any force
I treasure you of course
You cool and calm handsome
My love for you is just awesome

THOSE PURE BROWN EYES

Those pure brown eyes
so curious yet wise
i wonder how nice,
it is to rise
To the sun's first rays
and to your gaze

Those soft full lips
they part when you lisp
they pout when we kiss
They've brushed my eye lids
Ever since we were kids.

those pure white teeth
they nibble beneath
please let me breath
Coz when i writhe
you'll bite me with these.

poem

Atleast i think with this one i put some bit of linguistic effort but u can criticise.

You with the grey hair,
Running here and there,
Wrinkled and bent with fear,
Maybe the children will hear,
Their parents, no longer here.

You with the grey hair.
Burdens, you must bear
Full of pain and dispair
HIV/AIDS, you didn't care,
Orphans, now in your care.

You with the grey hair
Comfort, you only hear,
Death, this time so near,
Left, with all your dears.

You, with the grey hair
You, with the black hair,
You, with blonde and red hair
Care and dont be unfair
To those, who bear grey hair.

ON THAT RUSTY GATE

On that rusty gate
is where i decided my fate
Chocking with disgust and hate
i had to think and contemplate

You welcomed me with open palms,
then tortured me, with those same arms
like a flower, you ripped out my petals
like a thuggery, your actions almost fatal

For heaven's sake,
i am your niece
always on my knees
Crying "Uncle, No please!"

But not today,
As i run away,
Looking back on that rusty gate
I have to liberate,
The little i have left.

i wish i could write poems but in the mean time, i'll subject you to this.

This poem was inspired by a rainy Sunday afternoon with a blackout imagine!

Dear Paula,
what a not-so-heavenly aura,
with your feigned love for fauna
And old records of Iscrava Isaura,
which were found in the sauna
what do you have against Laura?

Paul is your brother
Laura is his other
Find out from your father
how to respect the other
ask even your mother,
How to deal with each other.

Is that why you were in shock?
As she walked like a peacock
Even after you said she was made of pork
And if you pierced her with a fork
She would have oozed chicken stork?

now you leave in a huff
coz you've run out of bluff
You are full of hate stuff.
What we do for you is never enough.

silly poems

FIRST THING IN THE MORNING

I checked my messages again and again
I washed my face again and again
I checked my weight to see what I'd gained
I took,u breakfast bit still felt drained
You promised to call first thing in the morning
all this time am mourning
since that Thursday morning
With the constant silent warnings.

Lights out fading
Love lives ending
You promised to call first thing in the morning
I promised to stop sobbing
But my heart wont stop throbbing
Because all this time am waiting
But i know what is to be expected.

You forgot to call first thing in the morning
Since that Thursday morning
Silly me, i have been waiting
When i know whom you've been holding

my poems
