Friendship

"The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have."
“Friendship isn't a BIG thing
Its a million LITTLE things.”

WOMAN'S DIARY
12 July 2008 Saturday
Saw him in the evening and he was acting really strangely.
I'd been shopping in the afternoon with the girls and was a bit late
meeting him, thought it might be that.
The bar was really crowded and loud, so I suggested we go somewhere
quieter to talk.
He was still very subdued and distracted so I suggested we went
somewhere nice to eat.
All through dinner he just didn't seem himself - he hardly laughed and
didn't seem to be paying any attention to me or to what I was saying,
I just knew that something was wrong.
He dropped me back home and I wondered if he was going to come in,
He hesitated but followed.
I asked him what was wrong, but he just half shook his head and turned
the television on.
After about ten minutes of silence I said that I was going upstairs to
bed, I put my arms around him and told him that I loved him deeply,
He just gave a sigh and a sad sort of smile.
He didn't follow me up immediately but came up later and, to my
surprise, we
made love - but he still seemed distant and a bit cold.
I cried myself to sleep - I think he's planning to leave me - maybe
he's found someone else.

The Postman

Three women were sitting around throwing back a few drinks and talking about their love lives. One woman said, "I call my husband the dentist. Nobody can drill like he does."
The second woman giggled and confessed, "I call my husband the miner because of his incredible shaft."
The third woman quietly sipped her whiskey until her friend asked, "Say, what do you call your husband?"
She frowned and said, "The postman."
"Why the postman?"
"Because he always delivers late, and half the time it's in the wrong box."

What's the capital of Iceland ? - About £3.50
How do you define optimism? - A banker who irons five shirts on a Sunday
Why have estate agents stopped looking out of the window in the morning? - Because otherwise they'd have nothing to do in the afternoon
What's the difference between an investment banker and a large pizza? - The pizza can still feed a family of four
What's the difference between a merchant bank and Katie Price? - Both are institutions whose reputation is built on assets that, on closer inspection, turn out to be entirely artificial, vastly over-inflated and in danger of going through the floor at any moment. But at least Katie Price is still worth something
What's the difference between an investment banker and a pigeon? - The pigeon is still capable of leaving a deposit on a new Ferrari

I got my heart broken a little while ago and all of us know what that feels like. Not the best feeling, but there's no denying that more than often it's the best thing for us even if we don't realize it at the time.
So on New Years Eve I met a guy who I didn't give a second thought to, because I was involved with the 'heartbreaker' right.
Well to my amazement this guy went to great lengths to get my number and email address from a mutual friend once he heard about the break up. He politely waited and gave me as much time as I needed to get over things and sort of deal with it first. All the while as he said, I was on his mind since the moment he had laid eyes on me. And here I was pining over a guy who didn't realize my worth to begin with.
Then about three weeks ago he asked me out to a Natural and Organic Food Expo, having done his homework and now knowing what I'm passionate about, he just confidantly took the first step.
That first step turned out to be a big leap and swept me off my feet.
We've been seeing each other almost every day since and he's turned my heart to clay, molding it into the most beautifully sculpted master piece with each moment I am in his presence.
I've met the most amazing man who has waited for me to realize that everything I want in a man was right there in this total stranger who took the time to see ME. Through my joy, my hurt and my sadness, to my joy once again in finding somebody like him.
This is a testimony that not all break-ups necessarily leave you broken, albeit you have to be broken first in order to heal....and I've healed.
Love is a never ending circle. It continues regardless of whether you're with the same person. It's the one thing inside of all of us that never truly dies.
Love is emotionally the equivalent of a breath of fresh air.
Love is Life and Life is to Love.

I WILL WORSHIP
Friday, February 12, 2010 11:16:02 AM
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100:1-5
Isn't it awsome that we can come boldly into His presence just as we are to worship Him. Because of what Jesus has done for us. If only we could always worship Him in spirit and truth and in the beauty of holiness as He desires and deserves to be worshipped!
"Now is the time!" It is a challenge to make that choice, "I WILL worship", even when life is a battle. Now is the time, today, whatever happens.
Women got brains too?

Why is it that when a womans had a tough life and starts believing she deserves better, she's called a b*tch for wanting to be respected, told to shut up when she defends herself as if her gender automatically makes her less of a human being? Why is it that some men believe that they have the power to be push overs simply because their voices broke when they were teens, grew some hair on their chests and grew more towards the floor in certain parts of their anatomy. Being a man means more than hearing ur own voice saying the last word in order to feel that you shut the little woman up and gained some power in the process. It means listening not only to her words, but reading her emotions behind it when you're tearing into her confidence, undermining her intelligence or right to have a mind of her own. Guys start being men and knowing YOUR place. Start respecting your mothers, sisters, girlfriends, wives. A man who doesn't always shove his woman around is generally a much happier man. Women love you to be gentle, non aggressive and treat them like they MATTER. Like you're actually interested in what they have to say. Who they are. What makes them happy, sad,mad and what makes them love you more. Don't be so selfish as to always want to be the one who has to have his ego stroked, his every word hung onto or his word be the end all and be all of Every Single Thing. BE THE MAN. Let your woman be A WOMAN. A LADY. We're really not that complicated.
