Windows Live Writer is a spectacular application that allow you to update your blog without going through the online dashboard. It includes feature such as spell-check and rich text format interface that is similar to Microsoft Word. The great thing about it is that it be used to update any type of blog. From the popular Google Blogger, the dedicated WordPress, and even Opera Blog. Here’s how you can set it up to update your Opera Blog:

1) Click on top-right button and choose Add blog account…

2) Choose Other blog service. Click Next.

3) Enter the address to your Opera blog in the first box e.g http://my.opera.com/yourusername/blog/. Enter your Opera login name and password. Check Remember my password if you wish. Click Next

6) In the next dialog box, select Movable Type API in the dropdown menu.

7) In the second box, enter http://my.opera.com/yourusername/blog/api/. Click Next.

8) Now Windows Live Writer will be configuring your account. Congratulation! now you can use Windows Live Writer to post to your Opera blog.
