Nutrition for children

good nutrition should start a birth. a.new born baby arrives with a steril gut. immediatly on birth it's suspectible to bacterial imbalances and infectionsand needs to built up ats own gut flora. what the chold consumes over the next five years can greatly effect lasting long in to adulthood.

everybody know that breast-feeding a baby is not only natural for a new mother, but essential for the baby. as long as the mother's diet is good, breast-feeding has wonderful benefit to mother and baby long term.

nutritional content is high. trace elements such as selenium, chormium, manganese and iron; vitamin A,D,E, B12 ; antibodies mainly lgA, which coat a gut lining, preventing, absor[tion of organisms and allergens; digestive enzymes; PUFA's such as n3, n6, and Arachidonic acid and cholesterol, vital for nervous system development; grow of L-bifidus; anti bacterial, antiviral, anti parasitic, and anti allergic; essential amino acids; lactose;adequate orotein level; colostrum- rich in amino acid, minerals, especially zinc, vitamins A,E,and B12, EFA's antibodies and is low in sugar released only for the first three days eventually turning in to milk ; long chain polyunasturated fatty acids needed to help with the growth of the brain.

milk compotition changes in acordance with age, it has the exact combination of the protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and sugar thats a baby needs as it grows.

IQ levels are an average of 8 points higher in children who were breastfed.

the baby will have a better immune response over a long periode of time and is less likely to suffer from allergies, obesity or other illnesses long-term.

How to wean...........

idealy weaning should start at six months of age and slowly, over a periode of a few months with a new food every five days allowing time to monitor reactions to foods lowest allergenicity

in the first year avoid dairy, wheatm citrus fruits, honey, eggs, [eanutes and tofu. these food can lead to food intolerances allergies in the future.

GROWING CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS

Nutritional requirementsare high from birth to 16 especially for rapid growth and hormonal heatlh during puberty. adequate protein is required to enable growth and boost the immune system which is not fully developed until the age of 5 years old.

as children get older, parents lost control over what their children eat, educating them from an early age about health and nutrition . and the benefits of eating sensibly, ang leading the night lifestyle are essential . peer pressure at school m birtday party and when socializing can be hight and children often get influenced in to eating junk food to fit in its a lot off more fun and trendier to be eating pizza than a fruit salad,,!
