Spambroken

I'm not sure where to throw the blame, or if it's at all worth caring about it anymore, truth to be told. Should I target google for their complete lack of response on the spam-plague subject, should I target the crowd on that list for not giving a flying fuck about it or the maintainers for not putting any moderation into it - I don't know. The sad fact is that I don't care though, since I'm beyond the point of not knowing what the hell is going on.
I can't understand why mail that I receive, in gmail, on a mailing list, is not rolled through the very same spam filters that are cast over the rest of the mails I'm receiving. I'm a nice person and I use the "report spam" button, in the faint hope that it's going to be useful for not ever getting such a mail in front of my eyes again. Apparently google's mail service doesn't see the things in the same way. Which is fine, they most definitely have arguments for their own. Still, I'm left with nothing else to do. That list was a sea of spam, almost exclusively from Indian and Arabic sources. In fact - it was so spammed I'd say 1/4th of the new threads I'd get over the course of a day were just trash-can material. What can you do, eh?
There's always IRC, for the people that care. It's amazing how easy it is to use the "ban/kick" shortcut there.
Sorry for google groups, this time I can't praise them.
