The Young Harpists

The ensemble "THE YOUNG HARPISTS" is a group of 6 young ladies and 1 young man. They are playing on Celtic harps and are (or were) students of the "Zeeuwse Muziekschool". The repertoire of THE YOUNG HARPISTS is unique in the Netherlands, because they are playing a wide variation of styles.
They perform with enormously enthusiasm a programme of Classical-, South-American- and Irish Music. Even pieces for Concertharp are played.

The ensemble is conducted by Ineke de Vente

Het harpensemble “THE YOUNG HARPISTS” bestaat uit 6 jonge dames en 1 jongeman.Zij spelen op keltische harp (ook wel hakenharpen genoemd ) en zijn (of waren ) leerlingen van de Zeeuwse Muziekschool.
Het repertoire van “The Young Harpists” is uniek in Nederland, omdat zij een variatie van stijlen spelen, die zelfs gedeeltelijk tot het repertoire van de concertharp behoren.
Met enorm veel enthousiasme voeren zij een programma uit, bestaande uit klassieke stukken, Zuid-Amerikaanse en Ierse muziek.
Het ensemble staat onder leiding van Ineke de Vente.
