A Wonderful Life

Theresia

SEE THE SNOW

I know how I feel if I listen to the song of White Christmast. It always touches my heart deeply. It always takes me somewhere. I never memorize the lyrics but tonight I have it here:

I`m dreaming of a white Christmas
just like the ones I used to know
where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
to hear sleigh bells in the snow

*I`m dreaming of a white Christmas
with every chrismas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
and May all your christmas be white

repeat... *

ah....yes...I always dream to sit in a church in a christmas ceremony with the one I love, the one whom I want to spend my life with. and I am so blessed this year and the rest because I will have someone with me in the christmas cermony this year.
Dirk....It will be a real White Christmas For Me and You. It is not a dream anymore when you hold my hands in yours and I will bend My kness to thank for all my wishes granted for me and you.
MY HEART is so excited and full of joy........
We will make a snowman and sitting there .......
Thanks to The Lord................

Let The Sun Shine The in the Night

It is not really dark tonight
It is not cold tonight
Looking at the sky
Thinking of my love flying
soaring to the sky
getting you here in the deep of my heart
like the sun in the night
shining my heart and my life
in the way you hold me tonight
through the words and the power of love
warm my heart and my life through the breath of our love

First Day in A German Course

Learning language is not something new for me as I studied English Litertures few years ago and I am teaching english. Since last year I have thought about learning german, but last year I was so busy, teaching and preparing my engagement with Dirk. He told me it wasnt necessary to be in rush to study german. But I was curious to know what german language is like so that I bought a german book (Metode Praktis Belajar Bahasa Jerman). this book is really helpful to know the grammar that I must know to make sentence. I read this book so that I can improve my skill.
Now I am taking german course in ITS ( Institute Teknologi Surabaya) language centre. first I tried to join in Goethe Institute but they dont have any A 1 class for this semester. Luckily my student told me that I could take german course in ITS. yesterday was my first class and I learnt
Ich haße Theresia.
Ich komme aus Surabaya
Ich wohne in Wonokromo.
danke
yes...I keep practising and Dirk is my best partner to speak german.
Meine Lehrerin ist Frau Retno.

A Place Where I want to Be

Flowing in the stream of life
Stumbling over the rush of the life
No worries of the days and the nights
No emptiness in the hopes and wishes

The stream leads me to a place
where I can grow my life in the right ways
where The wind takes me breath of life
where the sky holds me in his arms

I am here in the place where I want to be
Being with you I find my life
all the silence is the sound of our heart
in the peace of love we lead together

My Pulang Kampung

As I promised to share my experience of "Pulang Kampung" this year with you ... It is really a pleasure to write it down here because it's so very different from my previous "Pulang Kampung".
The term "Pulang Kampung" is very popular referring to the activities of the people going back to their hometown. Hometown in Indonesia means the place where people were born and grew up. Indonesian families usually live close to each other in a neighborhood at the same area and even if some of them will study in a different town or city or move to other places with their new (own) family or because of other reasons, it'll be always home for them. The English translation of "Pulang" means "going home" and the "Kampung" is the place where they were born. There is another term that is used by the people to tell that they do "Pulang kampung" ... It is: "Mudik" and it means exactly the same like "Pulang Kampung".
"Pulang Kampung" starts a few days before Idul Fitri, or "Lebaran". But actually a month before they do the real "Pulang Kampung", they have prepared for the transportation or anything they will take with them when they do "Mudik". People who do not have any private transportation, will try book any public transportation a month before. All the tickets usually have been sold out a month before. But there are some kinds of public transportation that sell the ticket only on board, such as bus and economic train. People who have their own cars prefer doing "Pulang Kampung" using their own car even if their relatives live far away and a long distance is to take then, they just need transportation for visiting their relatives. Public transportation is not so popular because the places where they will go are so many and the public transportation isn't provided well. All the accommodation is very important. Recently after the monetary crisis hit Indonesia the costs of transportation raised up increasingly, and sometimes it's just unaffordable for some people. So people whose hometown is not very far. If it takes about 3 or 4 hours, they will go by motorcycle to their hometown. I will tell you what I've seen on the streets with the "Mudik"-people ...
