A Wonderful Life

Mother How Are You Today

I like this song very much because it always takes me to a feeling so close to my mother even she has rested peacefully. I love her very much. She is a mother who could show me the right ways to be a child, a daughter, a girl, a friend, a woman, a mother and a wife.
Mother how are you today
Here is a note from your daughter
With me everything is ok
Mother how are you today
Mother dont worry i am fine
Promise to see you this summer
This time there'll be no delay
Mother how are you today
I found the knight of my dream
Next time you will get to know him
Many things happened while I was away
Mother how are you today

dedicated to my friends who might have your own memory with this song

Keep the love as it should bethe way I believe

I don't know this song! But the warmth that comes from the words is infectious - is that the right word? I feel warm when I read this...

I have no time to listen now, it's time to go to sleep, next to my 3 month old son. But a quick google search tells me it's on YouTube. I'll listen to it this weekend...

And now I did hear it... Guess what, hearing the melody I realised I did know the song! But hey, I'm Dutch. What do you expect... smile

Nice song nonetheless.

I dont have any expectation or I dont like any stereotype of people,
I thought you know the song . you night have forgot about it. but may I know
what it is about Dutch?

Well, the original singers of this song (May Woods) are Dutch; they are from the Netherlands (and so am I), and were popular in the 80s. I was kind of isolated from the popular scene in the 80s (parental decision, and I didn't know any better), but this song even made it to my ears. Once I heard the words and tune, somewhere my brain dug up a memory that just the lyrics couldn't touch...
