SPAM – Spuriously Propagated Anti-social Media

Anyone who’s been on the Internet for more than 3 months knows what SPAM is. Those unsolicited e-mails we all hate. But as the Internet and technology advance, so does SPAM, and now it’s no longer limited to just e-mail. I call it Spuriously Propagated Anti-social Media.
My local mall for example, broadcasts ads to my mobile device via Bluetooth as I enter, and as I walk around. Currently, they do ask your permission as you enter the mall, but not all malls or shopping centres do.
Then there are the Bulk SMSs. I received several last week; advertising everything from a special on hair-cuts to on-site desktop support. I have even picked up spammers on Twitter.
As technology advances, so does SPAM and the techniques spammers use. Unfortunately, spammers have yet to figure out that spamming is not the true key to success.
