American Idol Gives Back: Everyone is a star tonight in more ways then one!Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'( Martin Luther King Jr)"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single minute before starting to improve the world ( Anne Frank) We wildly underestimate the power of the tiniest personal touch of kindness. What a wonderful thing that is taking place here. That a top show on television is HELPING! Those children that are less fortunate, those children that are living in depravation, those children that are living in horrid conditions, those children that are starving, those children that are living in the worst impoverished conditions, those children and people that have nothing and nobody to help them! Those people that have no hope until someone comes along to help, those that need a helping hand and kind acts to survive the cruelty that is part of their daily living regiment. It was spoken by Ghandi “To give pleasure to a single heart by a single act is better than a thousand heads bowing in prayer.”
What a spiritual awakening for not just those companies like American Idol that are extending their hands to help the desolate, but also those of us who are giving for this great cause and to better and improve the life of others, the life of strangers. Simple voting can change the lives of many people. Have you not had a better opportunity and point in your life that you had the chance to achieve such mighty greatness? What a spiritual blessing to be able to help another that are living in the depths of despair, at the very bottom of the abyss and the harshness of the realities of life for some. This is one of the brighter moments in American Idol history! This is one of the brighter moments for Ford, Coca Cola and AT and T. Everybody is a star, not just a star of fame of the musical arts, but also joyful and celebrated stars. This can very well be a life-changing event for those Americans who are starving and those in Africa who are starving. The poverty rates among children all over the world are staggering in numbers! Around 50,000 people die every day in Third World countries most of whom are children!
It is written among the stars that when one can help just one person, by making a difference in how they live, that that person’s life here on earth is substantiated in the heavens! Those that are helping have also changed haven’t they. Notice Simon this year, I really believe his journey to Africa and into the impoverished communities is a life-changing event for him and indeed has changed his outlook on life itself! Simon honestly did not realize how some people lived in America and how impoverished some global communities are such as in Africa.
Homeless in Canada
It takes all of us to help in any way we can! Do you know and realize that if everyone around the world gave just $1.00 and that money went directly to these great social, community, and global causes that it can change the lives of many. I am optimistic for the future of these children. This is the first great big step into worldwide recognition of what needs to be done for others!

POVERTY IN LA, California
This is not a time to put down others this is a time to rejoice in what is taking place here.
There is much work to be done in order to change the course of the lives of children and people. To extend your hand in kindness and giving can make an enormous difference in the life, fate of people and children’s destiny! Inevitable death is brought among those on the extreme poverty lines.
Melinda, Lakisha, Jordin, Blake, Phil and Chris have taking part in this event. Last night’s show was phenomenal, the songs selected from the competitors were right from their hearts and soul. In my opinion they were all stars last night. Last night the competitors were thinking of someone else and not just getting by another week or winning the competition. That is what makes American Idol gives back a very special life-changing event. It was written by Einstein” Try not to become a man of success but a man of value.”
American Idol, (specifically)Simon, and Ryan Coca Cola, AT& T, and Ford should be congratulated for the step they have taken to improve another’s life. It will always take more then one person and one group to help another. From the point of passing on the truth and revelation of how others must live in fact gives others the opportunity to extend their kindness, their humanness, and their sense of direction in giving. One does not have to know people on an intimate level in order to help them, you just have to want to help them in anyway you can. Every big or little bit helps to spark a chain reaction to a better tomorrow for the lives of others! To say that I am impressed would be an understatement. Very well done American Idol!
The pictures I selected was an effort to dispel the fact that homelessness in America is just reserved for minorties. NO! The truth is and the reality is that Homelessness and Poverty is in the United States, In Canada and in many other countries including Paris! Starvation and hunger hits every cultural every group and sub-group. These photos serve as a looking glass to the truth of poverty in America, In Africa, In Canada, ect.... They are graphic for a purpose to show the harsh reality of poverty, infliction, starvation and eventual death hit everyone not just old, the young as well! Become the voice of those that cannot speak for themselves!
All of the Idol competitors did very well last night, because they thought not of themselves but of trying to help make a diffrence in the songs they choose. Unfortunatly someone has to go. I disagree with Randy and Paula that Lakisha shouted out the song, there was no shouting at all. We must remember that none of these competitors sing the same.
Who I think should be going home: Blake
Who will be going home after America votes: Chris

AI is finally jumping on the bandwagon - sort of - and good on them for that. But unlike Clay Aiken - who has been heavily involved in humanitarian work since way before AI2 and continues up to the present (e.g., working for UNICEF in Africa and Asia), Bono - who also has a longstanding track record of working for peace and justice - and others who regularly contribute their time, money, and effort to fight for such causes without self-aggrandizement, the American Idol folks' charitable efforts have strings attached and are rather miserly in comparison of the corporations' profits.
They couldn't just donate to organizations that fight poverty and disease without tying those donations to viewer phone calls that Seacrest can then brag about to show what a ratings grabber the AI show is?
19E (AI) couldn't donate directly but had to get Newscorp to donate "up to" $5 million? Why such a relatively low limit, given Newscorp's bottom line and that of the Idol franchise?
The Idol sponsors will also donate, but they'll probably get more back by way of publicity and PR than they put in.
And, when Clay Aiken and a number of other former "Idols" have been involved in charity work (for Africa, Asia, the Gulf Region, poverty in America, educational efforts, etc.) for years, why does AI pass over all of them except Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood for its "star-studded" lineup? The "Idol Gives Back" star roster seems to be more about who is "hot" right now than about who is most involved in humanitarian work. It seems largely to be yet another extravaganza where a bunch of artists and corporations indirectly line their own pockets (major media attention helps sell CDs, concert tickets, and other products) as a "charity fundraiser."
If this show raises consciousness of areas where aid is direly needed, I'm glad. But I don't see it as being anywhere near purely altruistic or even all that efficient a way of helping these humanitarian causes.
How about 19E using their corporate muscle to get more coverage of these needs on the so-called "news" channels?

As far as I am concerned if AI wants to put on a show that will help depravation and help children avoid starvation and suffering then so be it! On a very spiritual level, one never knows why or the reason another will take up a cause, but in many ways they have been chosen to do just that at that particular time!
I love Clay; I defended him against those allegations and lies. ( If you had read my articles you would of known, that I had put the very same thing, that you just said, that he gives and gives and how much he is respected for that)!
By Bono appearing only helps them reach out to more people and because they have been on this road for a while it more then substantiate the cause!
NO matter, I am very impressed with American idol and specifically Simon and Ryan! I think that this cause has changed things for them, specifically Simon and most important will help to change the lives of some of the depraved. As a matter of fact I KNOW it has! Any help from anyone no matter who, why or what the reason is still bringing awareness to the cause and still allows other to extend their hands to help another. I will always highlight those persons who take up good social causes. I find it disturbing that people cannot just rejoice in the goodwill that others extend, that they must find something wrong!
Thanks for your comment
