Prayers
Cat Owner's PrayerBecause I'm only human,
It's sometimes hard to be
The wise, all-knowing creature
That my cat expects of me.
And so I pray for special help
To somehow understand
The subtle implications
Of each proud meowed command.
Oh, let me not forget that chairs
Were put on earth to shred;
And what I like to call a lap
Is actually a bed.
I know it's really lots to ask
But please, oh please, take pity;
And though I'm only human,
Make me worthy of my kitty!

Bedtime Prayer to the crone
Ancient Crone, protectress, friend
This day is finally at an end
Thank you for the gift of tiem
For moonlit nights and soft sunshine
And thank you too, O ancient crone
For wisdom gained from time alone
For days well spent and good deeds done
And laughter, tears and just good fun
And all the things you've given me
but as I put my head to rest
I ask you, heed th is one request
As I sleep, watch over me
And let my dreams come peacefully
Protect me from all harm and ill
Seen, unseen, imagine, real
And grant my life be free of sorrow
Should I wake to see tommorrow

Earth Prayer
Goddess, Mother, and Father God:
I give thanks for this day and this life...
Which I am living on this beautiful planet You have made.
At this time, I wish to pray for the Earth,
For Gaia, the living planet,
And all of the beings who
Live in, on, and of Her,
And make Her complete.
For all the beings who walk on two legs
Or four, six, eight, or many...
Or none at all.
For all the beings who are rooted in the Earth
And reach toward the Sun.
And for all the beings too small to be seen
With our eyes.
For the beings of the Air
For the beings of Fire
For the beings of Water
For the beings of Earth
And for the beings of Spirit.
May all grow in harmony and balance
Into the full magnificence of what they are.
And may their healing, each in their own way
Contribute to the healing
Of the Whole.
And so it is. Blessed Be.

Great Mother Earth Prayer
Great Mother who nourishes us
With Your body,
With Your breath
With Your spirit,
And with Your heart.
Be with me today.
You have given us a planet
Of breathtaking beauty to live upon...
To love and to love upon,
To grow upon.
You have given us minds
That allow us to survive
And make our world more comfortable.
And we've used this gift
To find ways to kill our foes...
Which could well end up killing us all.
We've used this gift
To find ways to change the planet
In ways that are damaging it
To the point it may become unable
To support any life.
Help those of us who love You
And love this planet
And love this life you've given us
To find ways to repair the damage;
To convince others
To join us in stopping the damage;

The spirits of the mountain exist in strength.
Their roots are deep in the Earth,
their heads pierce the air and mount to the sky above.
They dance from flat to peak
