Polish government insists on damaging unic ecosystem to build a bypass for Augustów city. Even the ministry of environment stands for it neglecting all the arguments against. The only hope for Rospuda Valley are brave ecologists from greenpeace and European Commission.

Greenpeace set a camp in the forest to protect the tries from the buldozers that are about to come. They live in tents or in specially prepared `tree houses`. These are kind of tents attached to the tree. To get to the top they use climbing equipment.

The hardest thing about it is that in these days there is - 20 C!

On the other hand the European Commission has worned our government to stop the process. Otherwise we will have to pay a fee for breaking the EU law by destroying precious ecosystem.

Lets hope politicians have enough oil in their heads.
