Smash Bros Brawl

I just thought of an awesome IDEA, I know what you're thinking "Stan, all your ideas are awesome how can you top them?" good question readers, and here's the answer, CHARACTER REVIEWS AND STRATEGIES, and I'm gonna start with the best character in the game.

Lucas

Lucas is by far my favorite character, he and Ness are similar but have huge differences.

Lucas has a much better melee set than Ness, he is flat out more versatile and he plays a little smoother than Ness also. Some of his specials are a bit weaker but have effects that balance them out perfectly.

Lucas is about in the middle in the speed department and power department, but is hard to kill, he has an amazing recovery move that can save you from almost any launch when you get good with it.

Let's start with the specials.

B - PK Freeze
This is one of my favorites (you'll probably be hearing that alot). This move unleashes a ball of energy that when explodes freezes an enemy with a direct upward launch based on damage. Depending how long you hold B is how powerful it is, and depending on which direction you are facing and what direction you are holding you can direct the flight of the energy, once you have mastered this it is an awesome weapon. It's especially useful during 4 player matches when 2 or more people are fighting and you're at a safe distance. It is also an amazing edge guard move during 1 on 1 matches. This move does leave you vulnerable while using it so it's not recommended 1 on 1 unless u for sure will hit them.

Side B - PK Fire
This moves is a good damage dealer. Once you hit them it encases them in a PILLAR OF FIRE which not only makes the character vulnerable, it keeps dealing damage. Knowing when and how to use this will make this move a great combo starter. One of the most amazing things I have found is that thrown projectiles will either be disabled or sent back when this move hits it. While me and my roomate were playing he threw me off the edge and threw a turtle shell at me, before I used my third jump I hit it with PK fire and sent it back, killing him instead, and it has been nothing but love since.

Down B - PSI Magnet
This move absorbs any energy attacks that hit u, whether items or special moves it takes away from your damage. This move can anger alot of people when you get good with it because it can negate alot of special attacks. IT DOES NOT WORK ON FINAL SMASHES lol.

Up B - PK Thunder
This move is a great move, it unleashes a ball of energy that u can control with the directional buttons. If it makes contact with you, it can launch you halfway across the map while dealing major damage to those you hit. If it hits an opponent it passes through them and deals damage while allowing you to keep control, definitely helps with edge guarding, and an awesome recovery move.

Smash Physical attacks

Side A - Branch Swing
He takes out a tree branch and swings it, that's about it. It's not as powerful as Ness's Baseball Bat but it does put some distance between you and an opponent allowing you to set up for a combo. Use this after PK Fire to make it the most effective.

Down A - PSI Kick
That's what I call it, Lucas kicks down and to the side in both directions unleashing a massive amount of energy, this is by far Lucas's most powerful smash attack. You can launch the opponent out of the ring it charged up fully and the opponent is over 70%. This move is amazing, I can't tell you how powerful it is, try it out.

Up A - Needle Pull
Emits Huge Energy upwards and has alot of damage packed into this move. There's a 1 second delay when using this but you can learn to time it easily, and if someone is right next to you they get sucked in for the full damage, this is a great finisher, and if u learn to combo it with pk fire it can be even deadlier.

Whatup peoples, the tournament is over, and yes I am soooooooo disappointed, not only did Kansas ruin my bracket, and make me lose quite a bit of money, there were almost no upsets, I mean all top seeds in the final four.... weaksauce. But, whatever, arrgggg. I'm back and ready to see what we can do for smashing if there's any ideas throw them out there, or else keep checking the forums, I'm gonna throw some crazy stuff in there.

As we all know Wednesday is the first official smash tourney as hosted by Ultimate Smash bros page, I'm opening up a tournament forum if you would like to sign up in there go ahead. The rules will be set up there and also who you will be playing against, keep in mind this is the first tournament so there may be some kinks.

But go ahead and Brawl

So I got smash bros last night, nothing to exciting. Had a party with about 15 people and played for about 10 hours, what the games not out yet, how did you do it, because I'm awesome, and I own the Ultimate Smash Bros page, so yeah hahahahahhahaa.

I'll post up a photo album, because it's not letting me add pics, I'm just gonna let you know I'm not an expert photographer. And I only photographed one match, where i was mario and didn't move cuz I was taking pictures. But go ahead and check out the album.

P.S King Dedede makes me laugh, just play a couple hours of subspace emissary.
