These are photos from July, back when I had the white balance 'issue' with my camera (basically the white balance got changed to tungsten and I didnt realise) which gave most photos a blue tint, at least to some extent. Ive have a go and the colour balance on these , but the blueness shows still on some. ANyway, the morning started well with a curlew
London wetland centre

Following on from my recent posts, here are the rest of the photos from my visit to the London Wetland centre. The centre has a large area of enclosures with water birds from around the world. The main enclosure had some long tailed ducks

mallard and ducklings video

Here is some video I took a couple of years ago, one evening in Bedfords park, of a mallard mother looking after her brood and being very tolerant of a coot. The next day I saw a Havering council tractor plough right across this corner of the lake over this nest. Thankfully the family had moved away beforehand. Enjoy the video and look out for the ducklings tucking up under warm mum

Moorhens at the London Wetland centre

Last Saturday I went to the London Wetland centre, which is run by the Wildfowl and Wetland trust. One bird that does very well there is the moorhen, which can be found pretty much everywhere in the reserve. This youngster was walking around the path
