back to the wildwood trust

At the weekend I went back to the wildwood trust. I took so many photos Ive split the report into two parts. Part one will cover the mammals and part two all the other stuff. I start with these two sleeping badgers

Heres one of them foraging later
The artic foxes were dozing as usual
One of the polecats posed nicely before showing its tongue while having a drink
The otters were having a water fight
By using the flash I managed to get a few nice shots of the brown rats
This also worked on the black rats
The shutter speed was even enough to get this in mid air!
Deer wise I got a nice one of a sleeping fallow stag
And one of this female roe deer (does that make it a roe roe deer!? lol)

The coypu was tucking into lunch
Look at those masssive orange incisors!
A couple of red squirrels popped out during the day, heres one of them
This wildcat was having a clean
Talking of cats, the Lynx decided to have a stretchbefore getting comfortable and relaxing in the sun
And Ill finish with some photos of the cute wild boar piglets

Part 2 tommorow and I have a heronry report ready.....to be written lol

Interesting to see the photos of the black rats, a species often talked about

I am inclined to question whether that is a pure wildcat though. Just habit

I think so. There called 'scottish wildcats' and they have a breeding programme, so I imagine they would use pure wildcats
