Regents park - ducks and heron

, , , , , , , , , , ,

Over a week ago I had a wander around Regents Park to show a classmate around. We saw a few things. The first notable thing was the family of mandarin ducks

Wandering around we also came across this batch of recently hatched coot chicks on there nest

and I manged to get him a heron close up

In the wildlife garden we got close to a pair of ruddy ducks, diving under the duckweed. This is the female

and this is the male

And finally, on the way out we encountered 2 families of greylag geese

Bedfords park - meadow sweepingRegents park - ducking nursery, herons, butterflies and dragonflies
