Its been a while since I last posted, Ive been busy volunteering, with it being half term. But to start the catching up here are the photos from wednesday before last. The mallards are sensing spring is coming, with these to male 'bickering' over a female

But the coots were demonstrating that it will be a little bit longer till springs is really here

And up at Bedfords Park there was a furry visitor to the bird feedersA brown rat!

A rat! Well, I know it probably shouldn't have been there, but they can be a very difficult species to photograph, so great shots anyway!

And I really like the first photo of the coot on ice. Great pose!

Great shots! Rats are so reviled but in their place (wherever that may be)they do have their charms.

Enjoyed the pictures of the rat. Unusual. Here in Texas the "tulip" magnolias are in full bloom, and already leafing out and the plum trees have started blooming. Have hardly had winter at all. Haven't been out and about enough to notice if the dogwoods are blooming yet. Anyway, only a few more weeks of cold weather. Yea!
