Ingrebourne valley birds

, , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Carrying on from the adders yesterday, I also managed a few bird photos. In the morning light some greylag geese posed

In the adder spot the long tailed tits kept landed close but at awkward angles a few times

I tried in vain to get some decent sized pics of skylarks
Thats the best I could do - oh well Ill just have to by a new dslr and a 500mm lense :D

later a long tailed tit cooperated for all of 2 seconds (some sort of record, surely!)

And on the way out I bumped into this fella in a tree: a little egret

Nice collection! Skylarks are wonderful to listen to but a living nightmare for the photographer, and I think you've done well with them here!

Great shots! We see a lot of the small egrets here, their feet are so cute!

Adele - they are a pain. But I reckon with a bit more focal length and some more megapixels to crop from I could get something pretty decent in this field

Cakkleberry - thanks. I rather like little egrets, which in 15 years have gone from being a very rare vagrant in the UK to a common seen bird in south England
