Rainham marshes

, , , , , , , , , , , ,

Well Im starting to catch up to the present now, Im only a week or so behind. Here are the photos from a visit to RSPB Rainham MArshes. Unfortunately all the photos have a blue hue/bias to them: this is because the white balance changed itself to 'tungsten' - probably while in my bag after I put the camera away while on auto off. It came as quite a relief when I found out as I thought the sensor/processor was broken in my camera!

Anyway, at Rainham some roach were swimming in one of the ditches

A cinnabar moth caterpiller was crawling up a stem

A female emporer dragonfly was egg laying

And a marsh frog posed beautifullly - shame its a bit blue!

Hello and welcome to the UK WILDLIFE BLOGPhotographing turnstones (and other waders)

Yes, if you shoot in raw, you can correct that on the computer. Still, great shots! Fish are very difficult to photograph!

Thanks folks. I did have a bit of a play but couldnt quite get rid of the blueness, without the image degrading too much. I have a raw of the frog I might have proper go with later though
