Oare marshes - my first ever yellow wagtails

, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Last weekend I went to Oare Marshes, where they currently have some polish ponies grazing the marshesThst the swale bridge in the background

One of the cows I mentioned in previous posts was wading through the water

On the other side of the sea wall I noticed some wagtails, which turned out to be yellow wagtails, a first for me

A bit further along I got my second ever confirmed whimbrel

On the scrape there were a variety of birds, including golden plovers, starlings and black headed gulls

And as I was walking out to leave a flock of knots started flying around one of the flooded areas

Very nice to see a yellow wagtail, but my favourite shot is the last one of the knots. Beautifully captured.
