mallard and ducklings video

, , , ,

Here is some video I took a couple of years ago, one evening in Bedfords park, of a mallard mother looking after her brood and being very tolerant of a coot. The next day I saw a Havering council tractor plough right across this corner of the lake over this nest. Thankfully the family had moved away beforehand. Enjoy the video and look out for the ducklings tucking up under warm mum

Very good. Love the way the drake just glides by in the background. I guess he got his cameo! I think Mum is being very tolerant of the Coot!

Yes she is. What a sweet video of Mom and babies. And the drake was a plus.

Very nice video :D good thing they moved before a tractor came, those farmers should be more careful and check out the area they wish to plough beforehand!
