Wat tyler - birds and dragonflies

, , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Last month on one of my frequent early morning walks, the first thing I spotted was one of the stock doves poking his head out of the RSPB barn

Downa the marina a greenshank was calling

And a curlew was at the second bird screen

In the hawthorn I spotted a juvenile whitethroat (I think)

And a long tailed tit was unusually cooperative

By the pond a jay was sunbathing in the hawthorn, among the berries

And later a grey wagtail was feeding on the edge

Towards the southern end of the park I found a ruddy darter posing on a leaf

Just as I was heading back I noticed the lapwing posing near the marina

A collared dove in near the shops

And the stock dove had was back in its hole again

Hello and welcome to the UK WILDLIFE BLOGOare marshes - waders
