Scarce emerald damselfly

Yesterday at work I spotted some large damselflies while leading some pond dipping, which perched with their wings at 45 degrees, a distintive feature of the two emersld damselfly species found in the UK. I headed back with my camera and tooks ome photos, not sure if they were the scarce emerald or the 'noprmal' emerald damselfly.

Emperor dragonfly in flight

For two years Ive been trying to photogrpah a male emperor dragonfly, and on Sunday, on a quick wander round bedfords park with the new set up, I spotted one. I walked over to the bank, pointed the camera, the dragonfly hovered striaght away and I got this
If only they were all this easy!

(I didnt get another decent shot after, so got dead luck with my first shot!)
