Buzzard mobbed by jackdaws and parakeets

While down at the main lakes in Richmond Park I spotted a group of birds in the sky. It turned out to be a buzzard (a first me within Greater London) being mobbed not just by jackdaws, which is not such an unusual sight, but by ring necked parakeets as well!

They eventually left it alone as it soared higher and higher on the thermals from a surprisingly warm October day.

While looking across the lake we also spotted a kingfisher wizzing across, some cormorants swimming around and these moorhens fighting.

There were also a number of black headed gulls, including this one which posed nicely for a reflection shot.

Wow, it is unusual to see parakeets in pursuit - poor buzzard, it must have thought that the whole world was after it scared
