Last weekend I tried pond dipping the woodlan pools in Norsey Wood. The best find was probably this caddisfly larva.

I believe it is Glyphotaelius pellucidus .

There were plenty of cucline mosquito larvae.

This pond skater climbed to the top of the tank and got a close up taken.

And finally a new pond creature for me: Lumbriculus variegatus water worm. It is a true annelid worm, like the earthworm but fully aquatic.
