Seasalter meadow pipit

Apologies for the lack of posts recently, to be honest Ive simply not had many photos to post about or the time to write some interesting stuff about wildlife in general. Last weekend was quite unproductive, with very little seen (I missed out on the Shrike at Stodmarsh, despite visiting the site Sunday). But I did get this meadow pipit at Seasalter on Sunday, which was a nice consolation :smile:

Rainham Marshes - spiders, water voles and a reed bunting

Although RSPB Rainham marshes is a mostly visited for its bird life, I always seem to spend more time looking at the other wildlife. Rainham RSPB

On Friday I popped into the RSPB Rainham marshes reserve. It was sunny but very cold and windy so there wasnt much to be seen, not less than 100m from the paths anyway. I did get any good photos but got a few ok, mainly record level shots. The first encounter was with a meadow pipit

Wake valley pond, Cornhill meadow and Bedfords park

On saturday we went for a trip to Lee valley, stopping of at Wake valley pond on the way. At wake valley ponds I was looking for hairy dragonflys. Again I had no luck, although I did manage to see a few downey emerald dragonflys, a new species for me. They were all in flight so I could only manage this shot
