Just a quick doeuble photo post from my recent pond photos with a new tank. 2 of my best so far I think!
First up a smooth newt tadpole.
(Spent 10mins using heal tool on some qhite specks on th glass which appeared after I 'cleaned' it - doh!)
Also this hawker dragonfly nymph.
(minimal heal tool on this one)

Today I left the house at 6.30am and didn't get to my destination in Kent till 6pm. No TV or radio or internet. Apparently I missed a wedding or something...
Anyway one of the stops was Wat Tyler Country Park and had a go at some more pond photography. One nice find was this darter dragonfly nymph.

Yesterday morning I spent ages looking for water scoripons in a pond in which I had seen loads a few evening before. I found none, but what I did find was pretty neat: a male and female water spider. Here is the female clinging to a piece of pond weed under water.

In the last week I have been up to my usual tricks with pond creatures. One creature I enjoy photographing is the diving beetle larva.

Last weekend I tried pond dipping the woodlan pools in Norsey Wood. The best find was probably this caddisfly larva.
