The Wick Country Park birds

A week ago Iw as at the Wick Country Park in Wickford. There wasn't much about, but the resident swans and geese. I got a few photos of the swans, even though the light was rubbish

Pond dipping at the wick country park

Over the Easter holidays there were a number of child groups that did some pond dipping at the Wick Country Park. The first group probably had the best finds, which included this 6+cm long emperor dragonfly nymph (Britain's biggest dragonfly species)
