Marsh frog fight - including video

, , , , ,

While at Rainham marshes I saw many Marsh frogs.

At a couple of points the areas of the marshes coming alive with the very loud calling of the marsh frogs. Most were tucked in among the reeds but 2 males where sitting out in the open. And when the frogs all started calling they started to get aggressive and began to call loudly and wrestle, which is when I got this sequence I also got some video when they did it for a seconf time. You can here thema nd others calling too

That was very interesting!! The still shots are wonderful, but it's nice to hear and see it on the video too.

After a rain, we have frogs that produce the most deafening noise. I was thinking maybe some kind of tree frog because it lives in the forest across the street. There are times that you can't speak in a normal voice outdoors!
