Martins Haven - dolphins and birds

I was told later by a member of staff at lockley lodge, that this a rare sight from the skomer ferry, and she had never seen dolphins from the boat! When on a trip to Skomer, you have to park your car in a National Trust car park at Martins Haven. So since we had paid to park and we were back on the mainland by mid afternoon (due to limited ships in a day we had to leave earlier than we wnated too) we thought we would explore the area. Up on area nearest Skomer Island, known as the 'deer park' I saw lots of linnet
As you can see the sun decided to emerge permantly a few minutes after we were back on the mainland There were also some skylarks

Further along on the cliff edge a raven was calling with all its might

Heading back to the car park we spotted a pied wagtail picking off insects from the stones on a little stream across the path

It was looking at every angle for them!

And finally back at the campsite a blackbird posed nicely
