my, haven't they grown!

About 3 weeks ago as part of my long post exam tour of the parks of Romford I wandered through Raphaels park and photographed a coot feeding its chicks(see here, second photo down). I visited again today and in roughly the same spot was a brood of four chicks: they all seemed to have survived and they,ve grown!


There are now 2 other broods on the lake, including this one still on and around the nest

I also found my first ever alderfly in Romford or even Essex

Not bad for a quick visit on the way home :smile:

Why, they might almost be birds after all, as opposed to beings from outer space :wink: Good to hear that they all have survived.
