RSPB Dungeness - Bittern and black necked grebe

Not the best photo as it never came too close but still nice to see. While watching this grebe a birder told me a bittern and some black necked grebes had been showing in front hides ahead (but a RSPB local group had been a bit noisy in the hides and scared them off - hence no better photos). But as he mentioned the bitterns one appeared flying over the reeds beds on the opposite side of the lake
Rather nice to see! Only my second ever one, and they look even better when its not pouring with rain!It landed in some reeds near the path I was on and after a while flew back to the reeds on the opposite side. It was a bit far off but I got some record shots

Sadly after that I seemed to have used up all my luck. There was a Dartford Warbler about but it kept its head down as it was right near the entrance to a hide. I did however get this grab shot of a magpie taking off
