Bedfords park meadow sweep

, , , , , , , , ,

Yesterday I helped out with a school vivit and the meadow sweep was quite productive. Before we started, one of the kids had a nursery web spider in there nest. It was carrying it egg case around with its fangs:

Spiders seemed quite common yesterday, with an immature wasp spider being found and a Araniella sp., with its bright green abdomen

This small skipper also turned up

ANd on the way out I took this photo of the view

Regents park - ducking nursery, herons, butterflies and dragonflies Bedfords park - dragonflies, grasshoppers and small red eyed damselflies

I think your last shot is missing - maybe just my computer. The ones I can see are great!! Amazing how they carry the egg case around!

Oh, I see the Dome (or whatever it is called now!)

Skippers are great little butterflies. Interesting spiders too
