Small copper butterflies and the last few photos from Richmond Park

, , , , , , , , , , ,

This is the last post on what I saw and photographed on Richmond Park. While wandering round we past a small plant with a few small copper butterflies on it

At one point the number grew to 5 on the plant with a few more around, probably more than I've seen all year combined!

I also took a few more photos of the fallow deer buck from the first post

Including some back lit - note the spiderwebs in grass behind

I got a nice photo showing the contrast between the park and the built up areas around

And in the evening I snapped a photo of a sun dog

Also the stag photographed for the silhouettes in yesterdays post moved to chase of a rival and I managed some pretty ok shots in the low light

And finally this squirrel sat nice and still for a low shutter speed shot

Very beautiful photos, it's impossible to pick a favorite! The stag is awesome, we don't see anything like that in the wild here.
