I-Mate is pushing it to the limit with 5 new upcomming mobile phones, which all looks pretty amazing! The specifications have just been released, and one must admit, they do seem impressive. Prepare for a hefty price though.
I-Mate is working on 5 new Smartphones based on the Windows Mobile 6.0 Operating System. Windows Mobile is something completly different then the Operating System on lets say a Samsung, or most Sony Ericsson models. WM6 gives you the ability to use your phone for so much more then you can imagine. Open\Edit\Create Office Documents, use tons of available software and utilities that you can download and install, sync 100% of your Outlook data to your phone by just connecting the sync cable, or you can do it through Bluetooth, WiFi, or an MS Exchange Server! But anyways, back to the I-Mate phones!
Details regarding release dates and which parts of the world will be so lucky as to get them are still unknown. However, the specifications of the different models are available, so check out the images below.
One of the more major points of interest here, is the fact that 9150, being a clamshell phone with a reasonable size, features a touchscreen. Also note the processing power these devices have. 520MHz is quite an insane amount for a phone. More or less the only missing technological specification here is integrated GPS, which amongst others, HTC's mysterious clamshell phone is supposedly going to feature.
I am really exited about these devices, and am really hoping they will get released on the Scandinavian market sometime within Q2/Q3/Q4 - 2007. Expect the price to be high though.
