    It's sad, really, that they had to tear this down. I didn't see the reported plaque or maze they claimed they were going to create "in honor" of those who died there, but this was devastating enough.

    To be honest, I was a little disappointed with this area that's about a 5 minute drive from The Commons, the mall in Federal Way. Upon first approach, one can only see the baseball and soccer fields, and a dinky little play area for the kidlets. I had to literally walk around the soccer fields until I found what I was looking for. Almost every inch of the trails were surrounded by a literal wall of foliage, leaving the rabbit trails that led off the beaten path rather hard to see, let alone walk down. I had also noticed a couple signs pointing to something called the BPA Trail, which led me to a open paved path that I had been down before when I had walked around Wonderwood Park.

    A short drive from my current residence, this little park hides quite literally without much of a sign. It's also rather close to some train tracks and the Sound. Included are a couple shots of Nikki and myself, in the area.

    Found this up in Renton while I was over at the Southcenter mall. Figured, what the heck, I'll visit it, and I'm kinda' glad I did.

    Not to be mistaken with the band Soundgarden, this little hole in the wall was once quite nice to look at and listen to the sounds of the running stream. Obviously from these pictures, you can see a rather obvious man-made pipe flowing even more water into the stream, but the effect is still the same, sound-wise.

    These days, not only is this lake haunted, but it's also polluted with gas from waterskis and outboard motors. Swimming in this lake is not advisable.
