************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I get the same.

I can't download the installer exe - access denied. I can use the zipped version, however.

Othrerwise, it's a great tool - it'll save me a lot of effort.

Daniel 26. April 2008, 11:58

I can't download the installer either.
The zipped version doesn't see my Opera so i can't back it up.
Have tried to insert Opera Fly in Profile and Programs, still no go.

糊记 27. April 2008, 02:28

Hope there will be a linux edition.

z@h3k 28. April 2008, 21:19

this is really dgood job

Timothy Conner 30. April 2008, 17:44

Sorry I havn't been responding, I didn't recieve a notification that I had recieved any comments. I will look into your problem later this evening.

Timothy Conner 1. May 2008, 02:20

The installer can now be downloaded again (Stored in a Zip File). A recent update to my.opera.com disabled the downloading of executables from their server.

I am still looking into the error message hpearce.

Hylic 8. May 2008, 05:03

First i think this is a great tool, i thought that opera should have added built in such a feature themselves directly into opera.

Second While i haven't really tested it out yet, one thing i noticed is then when starting up it looks for the "/program files/opera" directory, and while that's obviously the first place to check it might be a good idea to also look for the "/opera 9.5 beta" (or "9.5 alpha") directory.

thehop 9. May 2008, 15:19

Fine Options - BUT the Tool need the bloated Framework (which i avoid) ;-|

Ticus 9. May 2008, 15:41

It will be excellent to write OperaFly 2.0 in java to run it on linux and mac.

Timothy Conner 11. May 2008, 04:09

@Hylic

It actually looks at HKCU\Software\Opera Software\Last Directory3 registry key for the Opera Directory, and then if not found, it looks for %PROGRAMFILES%\Opera\.

Opera 9.5 saves it's directory as HKCU\Software\Opera Software\Last Directory 950 Preview, and it ends with preview which leads me to believe it will change after the final release, and then I will add support for it.

Hope that clears it up.

Hylic 13. May 2008, 14:59

It does, thanks.

skerns 28. May 2008, 00:41

I'd really like to use this tool, but I can't get it to work. I get an 'unhandled exception' error. It offers a continue option, but that doesn't do anythng.

Hylic 12. June 2008, 20:47

I just tried using operafly to restore the settings from a beta of 9.5 to the final release and it replaced the Default opera skin with the skin i was using in the beta version.

Timothy Conner 13. June 2008, 03:15

Yeah, I am (was) waiting for the final version of Opera to come out before I updated OperaFly. I thought they might change something, and they did.

You can download the new skin here: http://files.myopera.com/VJgamer/files/standard_skin.zip

Save it to C:\Program Files\Opera\Skin, or wherever your Opera program folder is \Skin.

John Barnett 13. June 2008, 11:21

Hi any news on adding OperaFly to the tools menu please ??

John Barnett 14. June 2008, 12:01

Have you any news on the problem of restoring Widgets ? the last time I tried to restore them it did not work I had to download them all again.

Thanks.

Timothy Conner 14. June 2008, 15:12

I just got your PM last night. I wan never notified for some reason. I will be doing some work on OperaFly today in order to make it more compatible with 9.5. I will look deeper into the widgets problem while I am digging around in the source code!

FantomOfTheOpera 25. June 2008, 13:45

I installed 2.0 but have not been able to get the tool integration to work, though it says it completed successfully. What is the solution? Thanks for a much needed Opera backup.
