My OperaI was missing something... incomplete synch.. but should this be warned about?

I've finally given in and let the site handle my settings so I can synch across the desktop/laptop and the cell phone (an HTC Inspire 4g running Android with Opera Mini - my first "smart"phone). I have Opera Link set up, and the phone almost synchs. I know Opera Mini can't synch up everything, it is Mini after all. But bookmarks are rather basic, and they didn't make the jump.
I did eventually see the Opera Mini bookmark folder and found that I had to copy anything I wanted Mini to see into that. Alright, I can see reasons for that. I didn't copy everything over. But shouldn't there have been a dialog or something about that? It's really jarring to have to play guessing games or resort to Google searches to make Opera work.
