The first of director John Woo's Hong Kong features to get much international distribution, this film is set in the jungles of Burma and Cambodia. Thailand authorities hire a Special Ops team headed by a top mercenary (Eddy Ko) and his son to capture and bring back a notorious Vietnamese drug kingpin. The film includes vivid and sometimes grisly action in the Woo tradition. Woo also wrote the screenplay.

Troy Reed presents his latest documentary on New York City's most notorious correctional facility, Rikers Island. This documentary explicitly shows grusome inmate slashings, police corruption, and everyday life on the Island, during the late 80's and early 90's.
Rikers Island in New York City is home to a fearful penitentiary with a lengthy--and often troubled--history. Filmmaker Troy Reed chose Rikers as the location for his documentary, entitled SCARFACE 4 LIFE, in an attempt to convey some of the disturbing events that have taken place on the island. Drawing on some fearsome events that were triggered in the late-1980s and early-1990s, Reed highlights police corruption, inmate slayings, and plenty more besides in this powerful portrait of a bleak institution.

Mobsters are smuggling guns into Hong Kong. The police orchestrate a raid at a teahouse where the ace detective loses his partner. Meanwhile, the two main gun smugglers are having a war over territoriality, and a young new gun is enlisted to wipe out informants and overcome barriers to growth. The detective, acting from inside sources gets closer to the ring leaders, and eventually must work directly with the inside man.
