My 365...

Hello "hump day" Wednesday.  Nice to see you again.  

The weather is a bit chilly today.  There is even a light frost in the forecast for this evening.  I do love my Idaho so.

My 365...

Hello Monday,

We woke up charged and ready for the day!  Well, at least I did.  The boys...not so much.  But I can't say that I blame them.  You see, I am a mom, and moms don't get a day off.  The truth of the matter is that I leapt out of bed ready to face the day, only I left my head and my stomach somewhere between the bed and the floor.  Yep...I am still feeling like a major pile of honey badger poop.  *groan*

But I can't let the boys see me sweat.

"Come on boys, time to seize the day!"  Casey, get up, call the college and see about registration for your testing.  Blake, log in to your daily plan and I want to see you working on two math units, two history units and today we write your business letter in cursive!  (Cursive...the dying art of writing in our school system today, that I refuse to let die!)

When that is all done, I need you two to do a load of laundry each, start to finish.  That will cover your home economics lesson for the day."

"...and then "maybe" we can take a short bike ride this evening before dinner."

Am I clear?  Any questions?  March to it!!  Rawrrrrr.......


Option 1:  That was a really good dream, and an awesome plan for the day.  I go for it!

Option 2:  I moan and groan, complain that it is Monday, complain that my head and my tummy hurt, roll over and go back to sleep.

Which option did I pick planet?  I know you really, really want to know...

Well duh, I picked "Option # 1".   And yep....we got it ALL done!  Well almost done.  Blake will do his load of laundry tomorrow.  

Hope your day was awesome planet.  Mine has been very productive.  It is funny though, when I am productive...the boys say I am grumpy  I am not grumpy?  I know how to give orders with a smile on my face.  *smiling*

For dinner I am making home made lentil vegetable soup, served with delicious french bread and a side of sliced cucumber.  Yummy.

Thoughts and prayers to all the families in the path of the crazy storms in the south today.  Especially the devastated city of Moore Oklahoma.  We are praying for you.  <3

My 365...

Wow, did anyone get a description of the virus truck that plowed my family down?  It started yesterday with Casey.  He looked really pale all day, and felt terrible.  Just after dinner, his stomach contents came hurling out, and poor dear must have vomited for two hours straight.  I felt so bad for him.  Today, he has stayed in bed pretty much all day.

This morning I woke up feeling just about the same.  Chills, fever, headache, body aches and trying not to move too quickly because I hate vomiting.  Blake too.

Amber and Cooper have it as well.  I feel so bad for Amber.  It is hard enough being pregnant in the last trimester, much less dealing with being sick and having a sick toddler on top of it all.  I am really hoping this passes quickly.

For now we are sticking to saltine crackers, bananas and some tea.  Whatever this virus is, it is no longer welcomed in my home!

Hope your day has been better than mine.  


 It is a beautiful day outside, so Blake and I went outside in the sun for a bit.

My 365...

I had a wonderful surprise visit from my son Brandon and grandson Cooper today.  They always brighten my day.  Cooper is a little chatter box, and speaks so clearly now.  He is an amazing little spirit.  I know I say that all the time, but he is!  So polite and well behaved as well.  His manners are impeccable.  Goodness I love this little boy soooooo much!

Amber looks beautiful with her little baby bump.  It won't be too much longer before I get to meet my new grandson or granddaughter.  I can hardly wait!

My 365...

I want to wish a very "Happy Birthday" to my beautiful daughter-in-law Amber.  She has been an amazing wife for my son Brandon, and a wonderful mother to my grandson Cooper, and new baby coming in just a few more weeks.  We are so excited to meet that new baby!!

Amber and I have not always seen eye to eye.  The funny thing is, I think it is because we think so much alike.  As I have gotten older, I have learned to appreciate the quirky, awesomeness that is Amber.  She really is a very special person.  When it comes to the men in my life, I am a fierce mama bear.  When it comes to the men in her life, Amber is a fierce mama bear as well.  She has earned my utmost respect.
