Flowers for Mommy...

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing great. I am doing marvelous other than I am working too hard. I think that is what happens when one becomes a "work-a-holic"...shame on me! :eyes:

I had to make my way back here to read that wonderful poem I found and I posted myself for goodness sakes. I am sure mom is even looking down from heaven shaking her finger at me, "Slow down Veronica!" I know mom, I hear you.

Yesterday afternoon my two little guys went for a walk, and as always, picked some flowers for mommy along the way. At least my kiddos know how to stop and smell the flowers. Thanks boys.

Have a great tomorrow!

Veronica

Happy Easter Everyone!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day.

And Sarah, this is for you honey!

The Most Incredible Adventure of a Lifetime!

Exactly 21 years ago today I embarked on the most incredible adventure of a lifetime. For you see, it was exactly 21 years ago today that I became a mother for the first time.

My daughter Meagan came into this world at 7 pounds 4 ounces of the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. She has enriched my life with more adventure than anyone could ever hope for. You have not lived until you have become a mother...especially the mother of a girl.

So to my darling Megs, “Happy 21st Birthday” sweetheart! Thank you for the last 21 years, and I look forward to the next 21 + 99 years that we will enjoy together.

My favorite picture of my girl...and her best friend Sophie...

All my love...

My little Nutty Professor....

I purchased some new reading glasses. *gasp* Yes world I wear reading glasses. That is either an indication that I am extraordinarily intellectual...or just getting old.

So my little guy grabbed my glasses and decided to strike a pose. "Look mommy, now I look just like you!"

"Oh, gee thanks son, I look like that do I?"

Little stinker...gotta love em!

Hope you all had a great day.

Happy New Year!

Well it is "Happy New Year" for me anyway.

I LOVE April! April is my month, so "Happy April 1st!" to everyone.

April is going to be an amazing month, I just know it. The first 3 months of this year totally sucked, so I officially dub April 1st as my "New Year." I can do that because...well...I can. p:

Here is the first picture of my new year. A beautiful little bush in my back yard. Is this not the most amazing yellow you have ever seen? Way to go Mother Nature.

Have a great April everyone.

Hello World :)

Hope this day finds everyone doing well.

I have decided that whomever said, "Time heals all wounds.", does not have a clue. Time does one thing and one thing only, it ages us. It has been a month since my mom died, and I miss her more today than I did 30 days ago. Love you mom!

Thank you all for your support, it means so much to me. You are all great friends. The Opera Community is wonderful.

Other than that bit of sadness, all is well. The boys are growing and healthy, Megs is doing well, and business is good. Life is good.

I need to get back into the swing of things. I am trying.

The new Opera format looks great! Very easy to navigate and quite "gui" as they say. p:

Spring is finally here so I will definitely need to warm up the camera and get shooting....photos that is. I definitely need some inspiration, and mother natures hands that out in buckets. Thank you mother nature.

I leave you with a random "Link" I found rather amusing.

Until next time....

Dust if You Must

Dust If You Must
Author Unknown

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better,
To paint a picture or write a letter,
Bake a cake or plant a seed,
Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
Music to hear and books to read,
Friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world's out there
With the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come 'round again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come and it's not always kind.
And when you go and go you must,
You, yourself, will make more dust.

Sad day in my world today.

This evening after a long difficult battle with illness, my precious mom passed away. She was 75 years young.

My mom was the most amazing mom in the world. She taught me how to be an amazing mom, and she showed me unconditional love, patience, optimism, courage and faith. I was able to talk to her before she slipped into a deep sleep. She told me that she loved me very much, to tell the children that she loved them very much, and that she would never give up.

Well mom I promise to you that I will never give up.

My mom was an amazing teacher for over 40 years. All of her students remember her and loved her and she had such a positive role in their lives. She was their hero and she will always be mine.

The heavens have an amazing new angel tonight. I will miss her so much. :frown:

I love you mom....you will be in my heart forever.
