Opera-it's not about singing...only

Opera competition

Opera is not scaring anymore

Opera... When was the first time when you heard of Opera browser for the first time? Let us remind ourselves the way it happened to each of us. Though, all our destinies and life experiences are different, our love story with Opera has something that unites all of us in one big and fortunate family.
When one finds him/herself in the spanless world of Internet, a major question arises -what programme, which browser to choose to swim and surf through the waves of Her Majesty- the Information, which is a very whimsical lady and wants to have all the best from the world of software to be operated with. You -desperate and hungry for love, oh, pardon me, for information, are trying to find something appropriate and worthy your beloved Lady Information. You browse through variety of programmes: hunt with foxes, explore unknown sites with explorers, dive into the botomless ocean of data with orcas, try to hide yourself and become invisible in creepy jungles of facts with k-meleons- you mention them all! And suddenly, you discover all the beauty of Opera... Yes, yes, before that you had hated all the classical genres and preferred listening to Madonna, Nina Hagen or in the worst case Ace of Base, but now you realise that Opera is the real thing you have been longing for all the time being aware of this subconsciously. And since the day you discovered Opera, all the things on the net have been existing inside your Opera exclusively.. How could I miss and overlook all theses features before? Speeddial...Ha, no need to run nervously through the tons of bookmarks and folders- all your favourite sites with friends, news headlines, pretty babes and all the stuff (well, you understand, I hope) lie right before your eyes -just click and jump into the game... Let's go further! You have discovered integrated search. How many torturing days and nights you spent before getting this cool stuff and now one doesn't have to insert all those old Egyptian cryptography into the bars. Just right click and you are in Heaven, no-no, you are still alive-I mean you get info from where you want it to get. And full page zoom- now I feel like a magician, who can enlarge people, images and all the things just by waving...em..to be more exact just by clicking a mouse...And step by step, constantly you start feeling that you fell in love with Opera. Opera, opera...I have obtained a new vision of you. You don't seem to me a dull, old-fashioned and dusty music, performed by old fat men and bosomy prima donnas. For me Opera is associated with modern, cutting-edged rocket, which carries me on a high speed into the new depths of information, hidden in this mysterious and marvellous country, called Internet.

Something actually ended when a fat lady sang. Alert the proverb-makers! Their prophesy has been fulfilled!

Gyrobo, should I swap the pictures around? Then everything will end up a heathen slim lady from fairy tales? smile

Gyrobo Monday, August 31, 2009 1:53:12 PM

The pictures are fine the way they are.

But if you replaced them with high-quality shots of cupcakes and candies, I doubt anyone would complain. smile

... and never was scary for sure

It was a joke about Opera as a genre being scary. I tried to write from the point of view of a teenager, who I am NOT already.
