Correcting The Future

Construction Project (Day 1&2)

As you may or may not have heard, I have a construction project on the go. I'm building a mobile home. This is to start my brother's construction business and also to get myself some funding for Project V. Since we are building it ourselves, there are no labour costs, only materials (except for electrician and plumber). This means that we have a huge margin for profit as these things sell anywhere from 60K to 90K (average 70K). Ours is the widest you can buy 16', and 60' long with two bedroom (longest are 74'). Should not be a problem selling this above 60K. So we'll put initial asking price at 79K neg. but that's not set in stone just yet. We have lots of flexibility.

The point of this is that we need another 2K. We can get it easy enough by doing a couple jobs or one of my other brothers can cover it (he's busy with his own projects), but just in case anyone wants in, I'm going to present one weekday at a time just for fun. I have about 20 days of pictures so far. We've started the roof today, but I'll start at the very beginning on here. Maybe someone will find them entertaining and help us out. Oh, it's all Canadian currency.

Since we have lots of room to play with, we will double any investment. Investments get paid first. We only take the rest after all investors have been paid. One time deal, so you won't find this offer again and this is why it's 100% ROI.

After sale, money is distributed as such:
1. Investors get money back.
2. Investors get ROI.
3. Builders get paid.

We accept anything up to 4K although we're only really looking for 2 or 3K. We expect to be done in about another month or so. So if you want to see the rest of the pics right now, please consider making an investment. Heck, a couple hundred would help pay for extra screws and nails and some tyvek. So pretty much any amount is good. Contact me if you want more concrete information. We have a budget listed and all items are updated online as we buy them on another site for investors only.

NOTE for Project V: I will also put anyone who invests $100 or more on the beta testing list as prototypes and testing becomes available as well as a free copy of Project V or an associated product of your choosing when they become available (tutorials or books). $500 or more and you can receive a free low level developer's kit and tutorials used for developing your own machine specific components and runtime engine and all other underlying technology. For $1000, I will offer to help set you up on a cluster or network for your massively concurrent application (ask for details). I'm also open to other deals if you need a custom solution. (For others, there will still be a free and Open Source version for normal development.)

Primary Objective Remaining: $2,000 CDN

Max Target Remaining: $4,000 CDN

Day 1 & 2 (May 10 & 11, 2007)

We found a lot to build it on. Got the approval from the owner. Got the building permit. And finally had some lumber delivered. BTW, the date is wrong on the pics. It is fixed in later pictures.

Instead of wood platforms, we're gonna use cement slabs. Cheaper and easier to level. These are some of the forms.

On May 11th, we finished the rest and stopped there because it was Friday. It rained for an entire week, so day 3 got pushed back all the way to May 22nd, 2007 that we'll look at next time.
