Earth Is Hell And Death Is Sleep

, , , ...

ACTS 2:25 -34 For Da'vid speaketh concerning him, I FORESAW THE LORD ALWAYS BEFORE MY FACE, FOR HE IS ON THE RIGHT HAND, THAT I SHOULD NOT BE MOVED: THEREFORE DID MY HEART REJOICE, AND MY TONGUE WAS GLAD; MOREOVER ALSO MY FLESH SHALL REST IN HOPE: BECAUSE THOU WILT NOT LEAVE MY SOUL IN HELL, NEITHER WILT THOU SUFFER THINE HOLY ONE TO SEE CORRUPTION. THOU HAST MADE KNOWN TO ME THE WAYS OF LIFE; THOU SHALT MAKE ME FULL OF JOY WITH THY COUNTENANCE. Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch Da'vid, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This Je'sus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Ho'ly Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. For Da'vid is not ascended into the heavens. ACTS 7:54-60 (RE: Ste'phen=First gentile to be stoned for preaching the word) When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Ho'ly Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Je'sus standing on the right hand of God. And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Ste'phen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Je'sus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. JOHN 11:11-15 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, "Our friend Laz'a-rus sleepeth: but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep". Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Je'sus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Je'sus unto them plainly, "Laz'a-rus is dead". "And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him". JOHN 11:39-48 Je'sus said, "Take ye away the stone", Mar'tha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Je'sus saith unto her, "Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?" Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid, And Je'sus lifted up his eyes, and said, "Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me". And whem he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, "Laz'a-rus come forth". And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Je'sus saith unto them, "Loose him, and let him go". Then many of the Jews which came to Ma'ry, and had seen the things which Je'sus did, believed on him. But some of them went their ways to the Phar'i-sees, and told them what things Je'sus had done. Then gathered the chief priest's and the Phar'i-sees a council, and said, What do we do? for this man doeth miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Ro'mans shall come and take away both our place and nation. (These are just a few of over 150 verses of scripture that plainly tells us that when you die, you sleep and yes there are a couple taken out of context that people use to say "Oh no, when you die you go to heaven or hell forinstice "Your soul returns to he who gave it" But that is for his keeping. As far as hell as you see with David the Lord said "I will not leave you in hell; which is earth, and we have a loving God so why would he have those who die up there watching or in some unknown limbo to watch our loved ones suffer! That is why he said "The dead know not". Also if we all went somewhere immediately, there would be no reason for Jesus to come back to resurrect us let alone a second resurrection a thousand years after he comes to take the believers to God's mansion. "And the dead in Christ shall rise first, and the living in Christ shall be caught up in the air with them". There is such a large percentage of people throughout history who went to church, ok: But have never actually read the Bible for themselves and that is the only way to truly understand the Bible which is a personal message to each and every one of us. If you just go by family or religious tradition how could you know you are getting the correct information? "For there will be many false teaching and doctrine's". Just a thought but if you truly love the Lord God why wouldn't you want to read his message to you? I mean certainly in this corrupt world you can't just believe whatever others have to say and that goes for everything concerning life* I am not trying to tell any one what to do, it is merely "Food for thought"!) Peace and many blessings to all, Lyn

Faith Works Respect And Kindness

, , , ...

James1:2-2:25 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, that upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of fashion of it perish: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of haughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgotten what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Je'sus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile rainment; And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? But ye despise the poor. Do not rich men opress you, and draw you before the judgement seats? Do not they blasepheme that worthy name by which ye are called? If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said DO NOT COMMIT ADULTRY, said also, DO NOT KILL. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgement without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgement. What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not A'bra-ham our father justified by works, when he had offered I'saac his own son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, A'BRA-HAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS IMPUTED UNTO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Ra'hab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
